What to Do to Prevent Permanent Data Loss
Click or Grinding Noises-
Disconnect all power to laptop immediately. Unplug power adapter and
remove laptop battery. Failure to do so could result in permanent loss.

Water or Flood Damage-
Remove laptop battery. Do NOT let hard or laptop dry out. Ensure unit
stays submersed in water, place in water tight container, and ship to our
facility. Our technicians are specifically trained for this type of recovery.

Impact Damage (dropping or striking laptop)-
For events in which a laptop is powered on at the time of impact, is it
highly likely that internal damage may have occurred to hard drive. If
operating system fails to load, or unusual noises are heard, It is
recommended to remove power from unit, including battery, and do not

General Guidelines
